Tim Atack

Tim Atack Is an internationally acclaimed film and TV composer.

His career started in the mid 1970’s playing drums in the band Child.

After some chart success and numerous appearances on Top of the pops he left the band to concentrate on writing and producing his own music. Having studied piano as young boy he was now switching his attention to playing keyboards and learning the art of programming and
recording using midi and computers. This new technology was revolutionising the new music of the early 1980’s and beyond.

He began writing songs and performing with his own band THE DUEL along with twin brother Keith which brought them to the attention of other artists to call on as keyboard player and guitarist respectively for tours and recording sessions.
This eventually led to a long term association with singer songwriter DES’REE in the early 1990’s.
Keith continues working today as a touring / session guitarist.

Tim became Des’ree’s musical director and keyboard player also co writing and producing several songs with her on her third album “SUPERNATURAL “ .

One of these songs was the ballad KISSING YOU. The song was featured in the Baz Luhrmann movie “ROMEO AND JULIET” staring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. The instrumental from the song also featured as a main theme for the movie and its success opened the door for Tim work on scores for further movie projects.
